OAKLAND — A Bay Area man was sentenced to four years and seven months in federal prison for selling multiple pounds of methamphetamine to someone who was secretly working for the Drug Enforcement Administration, court records show.Hector Arteaga, 42, of Oakland, was sentenced last month by U.S. District Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers. Last year, Arteaga met up with confidential DEA informants at various retail parking lots in San Leandro to sell the person either one or two pounds of methamphetamine on multiple occasions, prosecutors said.Arteaga became a target of the DEA after an investigation identified him as a “supplier of large amounts of crystal methamphetamine,” a DEA agent wrote in a sworn statement filed in court. (KRON) -- A man was killed after being struck by a truck in Santa Rosa on Wednesday, the Santa Rosa Police Department said. The crash happened on the 500 block of Sebastopol Road, just after noon. A police investigation revealed that a pedestrian was crossing Sebastopol Road outside of a marked crosswalk when he was hit by a black 2013 Chevrolet Silverado, police said. The victim was pronounced dead at a local hospital at approximately 12:45 p.m. He was identified as a white man estimated to be in his 30s.
